World Mental Health Day - October 10th

October 10th is considered World Mental Health Day. The theme this year is “Access to Service: Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies.” According to the official World Mental Health Day site, there were 100 million people worldwide who were affected by a disaster event in 2020. It doesn’t seem that you can turn on the news or look at social media without seeing the catastrophes and emergencies happening near and far. It is important to talk about the importance of mental health and how people can access support, not only on a special day, but throughout the year. As the World Health Organization (WHO) states, “there is no health without mental health.”
