Support for LBGTQ+ Youth

One of the general principles I adhere to as a psychologist is to respect the rights and dignity of all people. I strive to be an ally for marginalized communities including LBGTQ+ youth.

According to The Trevor Project 2024 U.S. National Survey on the Mental Health of LGBTQ+ Young People:

  • 66% of LGBTQ+ young people reported experiencing recent symptoms of anxiety.

  • 53% of LGBTQ+ young people reported experiencing recent symptoms of depression.

  • Among all LGBTQ+ young people, 84% wanted mental health care.

Receiving appropriate mental health support and gaining access to resources is essential for many LGBTQ+ youth today. Here are some resources that may be helpful:
